Hi, I'm Jennifer and welcome to The Sandy Mile! This used to be a family blog but decided to combine my love for my family and my love for running into one.
So a little bit about me. I am a 30 something southern gal originally from Charlotte, NC but moved to the Charleston, SC area in 2006 when my husband took a new job down here (he's originally from Charleston so it was like coming home for him). Because my family is still in Charlotte I often find myself a little sad that I'm not in the same city as them, however, I have a love for the beach and am happy to live so close to the coast.

I am wife to an awesome man. We've been married since May 2004. I am also mommy to a beautiful blonde hair brown eyed toddler girl who was born
June 12, 2009. In addition to be being a wife and mommy I also work a full time job so my life gets a little crazy and busy trying to be all these things combined into one person.

We also have two dogs that were our spoiled "children" before Sophie came along. They're still spoiled, but we love them!

Sophie loves her doggies. They love her too because she drops food on the floor.
Aside from the beach and running another hobby of mine is painting (I have a B.A. in Art) but I unfortunately don't get to do this very often.

I love to spend as much time as I can at the beach or out on our boat. Just being at or on the water in general. Winter makes me a little sad but I still try to go for a run or walk on the beach. At least there are no tourists.
I consider my life pretty normal and not all that exciting living in the Lowcountry but I hope that between my mommy moments and running that you will find some enjoyment in this blog.
