Happy Spring!

Hooray! Spring is here and the weather has been gorgeous the last couple of weeks! Last Saturday was like 80 degrees so we took Sophie to Kiawah for a few hours. This girl had a blast running around in the surf. That's pretty much all she wanted to do. Forget about building a sand castle. No way, she would run straight into the water if she could.

Although it was 80, the beach is always a little cooler with the wind and the water temps still in the 60's but that did not stop Ms. Sophie from getting in the water.

I'm looking forward to Summer for sure!! 

In other news, Sophie is talking up a storm and pretty much repeats what we say, even cuss words that slips out of Mommy's mouth on accident!!

Ricky, my sister and I all ran the Flowertown Race in Summerville 2 weeks ago. Ricky and Amy did the 5k and I did the 10k. It was a little chilly starting out but turned out to be a nice run. I ran my fastest 10k in 51:28 and won 2nd place for my age group! I would really like to break 50 minutes but that will have to wait till after my half marathon in April. I'll be running the Charlotte Racefest April 16th and hope to beat my previous time and redeem myself from Kiawah. Granted it was my first half but with the cold, rain and me having a cold, I felt like I can do better than what I did.

So hopefully the weather will be nice this time around.
