Baby Pictures

Even though we found out the gender, what Sophie will actually look like will still be a big surprise. Ricky and I like to speculate, when we look at our baby pictures, who she'll resemble more. Who's nose will she have (I pray that it's not mine), what color eyes and hair. If she inherits one thing from me, I hope it's my ability to tan easily.

If you look at our baby pictures, you will see that we were very opposite babies. I have the dark hair (and lots of it) and brown eyes. Ricky has practically no hair and blue eyes (plus he had very blond, almost white hair growing up). So this should be interesting. Only 5 1/2 more weeks to wonder.......

Cute little pic

Soon to be Mommy and Daddy

This picture was taken at Mike and Sarah's Bridal Shower this past weekend. It's not often we get pictures taken together and I thought it was a cute one worth posting.

Also want everyone to know that Ricky has been doing an awesome job rubbing my feet for me when I get home from work. And I won't forget to mention that Amy rubs them whenever we visit :)

Update

Went for my 34 weeks doctors appointment today. Another great checkup, Sophie is head first so we are happy about that little tid bit of information. Everything is looking good overall. I go May 7th for my 36 week check up and will then be going every week! The end is getting near, which I'm happy about. I'm tired of my feet and ankles swelling.

I'm starting to base my gym attendance on whether I can fit my feet in my shoes. This morning I was able to. Starting to limit my workouts to walking and bike riding at this point. I throw a little bit of weights in here and there. Believe it or not, working out actually gives me more energy.

We can't wait to meet this little girl!

Niece and Nephew pictures

A few pictures of our niece, Addison, in her Easter dress along with Doug and Maegan. She is such a ham for the camera!

We got to witness an interesting event Saturday morning....Garrett playing Pee Wee Soccer. He looked so cute in his uniform and even though it was mad chaos with all the 3 year olds running around, it was fun to watch. Here are a few pictures.

Last but not least...

The last piece of artwork has been hung in the nursery. My mom has completed the Butterfly button canvas that she's been working on for Sophie. It turned out so awesome and looks perfect in the room! She did such a great job and turned out better than I could have imagined. Thanks Mom!!

32 Weeks

Just a quick update that my 32 week doctor's appointment Wed. went great, it was a pretty quick appointment so there's nothing new to really report. I go back next week. Other than that, HAPPY EASTER everyone!

Battle of the "Bulge"

Just a quick note to reflect on how I'm getting the crap kicked out of me on a daily basis. Sophie is a kicker and moves A LOT. I'm to the point where I can see bulges coming out from my belly, like an alien is about to pop out. I can see a ripple from one point to the next. Ricky and I sometimes like to sit and stare at my belly. It's better than watching TV some nights.

She has distinct wake and sleep patterns now. I can feel her about 4:00 in the morning, sometimes later, but mainly between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. She moves sporadically throughout the day. I'm too busy to really notice what time it is when she starts moving, but as long as I feel her, I'm good with that. Then about 8:00 p.m. she starts wiggling around again. Some of her kicks are very strong. One day she's kicks on the right side, the next day she's a little to the left. Other times I can feel a hardness in the middle of my belly that might be her bottom?? Maybe a heel??

I'm still exercising, getting to the gym about 3-4 days a week. I am starting to feel a little bit more tired lately but overall still going strong. Work is starting to pick up so I need the energy to make it through the day. My feet and ankles swell. I don't get to put my feet up very much but by the weekend they go back down. One thing that I've noticed is that it's hard to get comfortable at times but I'm sleeping fairly well (until I have to get up and go to the bathroom).

I go back to the doctor on Wednesday for my 32 week check up. Wow, 32 weeks!! Only 8 more to go (maybe less, depending on what she wants to do). Ricky keeps saying how he can't wait to meet her. I can't either, we are very excited, BUT I must admit that I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore :)
