Misson Accomplished

The third and final painting is now complete. My mission for the weekend is accomplished. What a relief to have that done and out of the way. This last one gave me a little bit of trouble, I didn't have quite the "vision" I had with the other two. Sometimes your mistakes turn into something better. I'm happy with the way they turned out!
Now all Ricky needs to do is build frames, which isn't hard at all. Then we can get them hung on the wall!

All dressed up

Last night we went to a wedding at the Citadel. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a great time. It's not often we get dressed up and go out for a night on the town.

Baby Update

As you can see from the baby ticker, I am 25 weeks today and feeling great. I am steadily gaining weight and trying my hardest to eat healthy (I seem to be over my pizza craving which is good). I am hungry ALL the time so I try to snack through out the day so I don't eat the "bad things." Come to think of it, I don't really crave anything right now.

I feel pretty energized most of the day, which helps me make it through the work week. I have been exercising more (about 3-4 days a week) which has also helped with my energy level (and probably why I'm so darn hungry all the time). I've been doing 30 min. of cardio (alternating between the elliptical and walking) and weight lifting. Don't worry, I keep the weight light and go for more reps.

That's about all that's going on. I am going to continue working on the nursery this weekend so I'll hopefully have some more pictures to post. Oh, and I have been shopping like a mad woman for Sophie as well as the family. Thank you everyone for the clothes and gifts you've bought for Sophie already. I can't wait till she's here and can wear everything!!

Nursery Paintings

This past weekend I started the paintings for Sophie's nursery. Here are a few pictures of what I've done so far. The two aren't quite done, I've still got some finishing touches to put on and then the third is the bigger canvas that's going in the middle. It's a start, much more left to do.
And of course, random pictures of the dogs.

After several requests from friends and family, here's me at 23 weeks.

Baby Update

Went for my monthly check up yesterday and everything is still going great. This was the first time the doctor measured my belly with the measuring tape so I know it's getting bigger! When the nurse was checking the heartbeat, she couldn't get a good reading because Sophie kept kicking and throwing off the count.
Next month I go for the glucose test (for diabetes). Can't wait. I hear the "orange" sugar drink is oh so yummy.
We've been feeling Sophie move a lot lately. Even Ricky has gotten to feel a few small kicks and flutters. Hard to believe that I only have about 5 more weeks until my third trimester. June will be here before we know it. Crazy.
